Custom Homes & Remodel

Two years ago, a home burned down not just a house.  The memories and love of 38 years were gone in the blink of a lightning strike.  It was a daunting task to begin a build from 200 miles away & insurance was no pic nick to say the very least. If you told me one day we would feel normal or good again, I would have called you a liar.  We were down to say the least.
A couple of months later we were ready to talk to builders. We met with one builder, and I thought “seems okay for us” but we had also scheduled a meet with Buff builders. A few hours later a couple of pick-up trucks pulled up under the big oak tree.  A lot of builders drive pick-up trucks, but from the instant these two trucks pulled up (Scott & Rodney) we could tell this builder was different.  Not taking away from the golf or country club folks (to each their own), but this one rolled out wearing shorts, a t shirt & carrying a keg of tea.  He looked more like us & appeared to be someone that knew his way around a job site, not just his office.  Turns out he knows his way around LOTS of jobs!!   In talking we found out he was from the mountains (me too), liked racing (us too -it’s in my blood)) and to boot he knew (and employs) a very dear old friend that I worked & went to high school with years ago!   We looked at a home Buff Builders had recently built& it was spectacular,  but we were already sold.
  Thus began the BEST building experience anyone could hope for!!!! Craig and I couldn’t have had better people to work with!  They say it takes a village and by golly Scott Buff has assembled the best village possible!!   Scott, Rodney, Josh, Josiah, Sam, Chris, Ian and the multitude of quality driven subs made this build seamless.  If we had a question, it was answered. If we made a phone call it was answered or returned promptly (and there were a LOT of calls).    The knowledge and skill every person brought to the table brought forth the home dreams are made of.  The care & concern didn’t end when the home was finished & the locks were changed, Josh has been a dear friend and advocate getting this lift installed.  He has checked on us many times.   Buff Builders became our friends but now they are family to us.  Scott had said the day we met “when building it’s like a marriage; you’re joined together until the end”.     I think he thought at the end he could get a divorce, but we’re not having it.  LOL!!!
